DJ Uncle Al has been involved in the clubbing industry for close on 17 years and in the commercial scene for about 12 years of that. His professional career began in a big under 18's club called Sevens under the ownership of Jem Robinson and worked under head DJ Brett Schreiner...After that he played at many of the top clubs in Durban including some really dodgy ones. He started playing the commercial scene in 1997 at a club in Pinetown called Crowded House which was funnily enough under the ownership of his former Dj mentor, Brett Schreiner. He pumped that little club which ran for 3 years until Brett and Guy van Der Post decided to open Club 54 in Pinetown in 2000. Allen played at 54 for 5 years and in that time came across Nick and proceeded to train him as a Dj as Nicks energy was crazy, Dj Nick 'S' is now the head Dj for Clapham Grand London...

In 2003 Allen started playing as head Dj for Friday nights at Tiger Tiger Durban while he was still resident head Dj at 54 untill 2005. He then relocated to Jhb to head up the music for Tiger Tiger Jhb in Rivonia Square. Tiger was a resounding success after a very difficult start, and is now still talked about as 'The best club Jhb has ever seen'. It also won the accolades as 'Best Night Club Jhb 2006' After the closing of Tiger 2007, Manhattan was built and Allen was given the responsibility of Resident head Dj. With the help of all the staff and management, Allen managed to maintain the high standard that the customers where used to at Tiger so that Manhattan won 'Best of Jhb for Club and Ladies night in 2007 and 2008'. Today Allen is still Manhattan's resident head Dj...

Allen trained Dj Arthur  from the end of  2006, Arthur ( the man with the greatest knowledge of music than anyone) then played as Allen's back up Dj at the Hat until the beginning of 2008 when Arthur was awarded the position of head Dj at Chicago in Boksburg. Allen also plays at Chicago on Wednesday nights and Athur still works with Allen on Thursday and Saturdays at Manhattan... In early 2008 Dj Ryan, who was a House music Dj, came under Allen's wing and was trained in the commercial style and is now heading up the music at Durbans Joe Cools and Clapham Grand. Ryan was promoted through the ranks very fast because of his endless energy, great talent and his ability to work extremely well with Allen. At the moment Allen is training Rabin (the man who used to be famous) and Alex at Manhattan. 

He entices the party with the help of his trainee Dj's and tequila using an array of 80's, funk, house, hip-hop, rock and R&B, he rocks the club 10:00 till 4:00 nightly.
